The large number of wartime airfields and Maintenance Units scattered across the length and breadth of the UK must have been incredibly busy places during the 1940s and 50s, and have been a source of fascination for modellers since the beginning of our hobby.

Replicating those scenes as scale model dioramas has been a popular pastime for many years, with this classic Recovery Set providing plenty of subject inspiration for imaginative modelling minds.

Featuring a Bedford Ox and Queen Mary Trailer, along with a Thornycroft Amazon and crane, anything from a dismantled Spitfire to a Vickers Wellington fuselage could be added to this incredibly popular plastic model kit set to create a fascinating diorama scene.

What's Inside
